Governor and Florida Cabinet Support High Speed Rail
Last week in Tallahassee the Governor and Florida Cabinet gave their unanimous support to Gov. Crist’s plans to seek $2.6 billion for high speed rail and intercity rail development in Florida. A resolution of support was requested by ConnectUs, a grassroots coalition of Florida citizens, business, labor and environmental groups and was sponsored by Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink and seconded by Attorney General Bill McCollum.
