Thomas Gurney, Sr., Community Service Award, for his giving spirit and tireless community service. The honor was part of the Community Celebrations marking Mr. Palmer’s 80th Birthday and the 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Arnold Palmer Medical Center.

Vision for Cape Coming Into Focus
myregion.org, in conjunction with the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, has been working with the City of Cape Canaveral on a community visioning project – Envisioning Cape Canaveral. The four-month process, which will conclude in October, will aid the City in identifying their redevelopment opportunities, a possible downtown core, and creation of the ideal architecture or “look” the residents desire.
