Governor Crist Unveils Budget; Encourages Legislators to Support SunRail
Florida Governor Charlie Crist Governor Charlie Crist unveiled Florida’s 2009-2010 budget on Friday, specifically outlining his support for SunRail.  In his remarks, Crist stated "it will relieve congestion along I-4, it will create jobs. . .and it is environmentally friendly."

Eight Chambers of Commerce in the Central Florida Coalition will have one or more of their top staff or volunteers traveling to Tallahassee on the “Capitol Connection” this year. Partners for this event included Florida Department of Transportation District 5 and the Central Florida MPO Alliance.

Leadership Orlando Inducts New Class
With greetings of welcome and congratulations, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer kicked off the Orientation Session for Leadership Orlando Class 77 on Thursday at the Grand Bohemian Hotel – Orlando. His message would not have been complete without a brief and positive update on SunRail and its progress in the Florida House of Representatives last week. He challenged class members to educate and engage themselves on what may well be the most important economic and transportation issue for our region in our lifetime.
