led by myregion.org, examines the demographics and trends that are shaping our region and identifys the issues and challenges that affect the future, turning ideas into results.

Regional Leadership, maximizing the thirty year history of Leadership Orlando, utilizes tested curricula and relationship building techniques to educate, encourage, cultivate and recruit emerging leaders for the Central Florida Region.

Regional Public Policy Advocacy, moving important dialog about issues and candidates to the public arena enabling political leaders and voters to make informed decisions about the future of Central Florida is guided by BusinessForce.

Regional Transportation
To help solve our regional transportation problems, the Central Florida Partnership has created the Transportation Corridors “Task Force”  to advocate and communicate the “community and business imperative” of a comprehensive, integrated multi-modal regional transportation system.

Businessforce Team Chalks Up Big Election Wins
Navigating through an adverse national political environment, BusinessForce-backed candidates had a relatively good, but not great election night.  In the Nov. 4th general election, BusinessForce engaged in 16 state and local races.  BusinessForce supported candidates were victorious in 13 of the races and suffered defeats in 3 races.  Additionally, BusinessForce made separate strategic contributions to the successful re-election campaigns of 3 State Senators.   And finally, Orange County voters overwhelmingly approved the establishment of a Direct Elected School Board Chair.

The members of Leadership Orlando Class 76 “tested” new curriculum elements at their Team Bonding Session on Thursday with great enthusiasm and success.  The series if initiatives presented by Team Bonding, Inc., had a philanthropic theme.  The products they produced through teamwork, strategic decision-making and a lot of concentration and creativity were donated to local community based organizations.

William B. Wilson To Chair
Heart of Florida United Way

William B. "Bill" Wilson, executive partner of the Holland & Knight’s Orlando office, has been elected to serve as chairman of the board of directors for the Heart of Florida United Way. He will serve as chairman for the 2008-09 term. Previously, Wilson served as 2003 Chair of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce.
