At a recent meeting of the region's business and community leaders hosted by the Central Florida Partnership, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and
representatives from the Electrification Coalition provided a briefing on an exciting initiative, Drive Electric Orlando, intended to give
visitors to the greater Orlando area an opportunity to try a plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) while here for vacation or business.
Through the availability of electric vehicles at major rental car agencies and a network of charging stations located strategically at hotels, theme parks,
and the convention center, the initiative will create a seamless rental car experience for visitors to see first-hand that electric vehicles are reliable,
fun to drive and can meet their daily driving needs.

The Orlando community has illustrated a commitment to becoming one of America's model communities for electric vehicles by building an EV charging network
